Join the Team Become a Jansen Hospice Volunteer ...there's a job waiting for you!
Join the team of physicians, nurses, social workers, clergy, home health aides, nutritionists and therapists as a volunteer at Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care. Volunteers, a cornerstone of the Jansen Hospice Team approach, are needed to assist with patient care of terminally ill patients or for administrative assistance; both types of volunteers are of vital importance in providing assistance and comfort to the patient and their family members.
Patient Care
Jansen needs caring people like you who can:
- work closely with hospice to provide companionship and socialization for patients and families
- provide transportation for grocery shopping or doctor's visits
- provide respite for the primary care person
- assist in cooking or feeding
Administrative
- take part in various committees such as Community Relations, Continuing Education, Speakers' Bureau, and Fund-raising
- assist with mailings for the organization
- help with the acknowledgement of donations and contributions to Jansen
Volunteer training sessions are scheduled
throughout the year.
