Palliative Care at Lawrence Hospital Center PDF Print E-mail

The Palliative Medicine Program at Lawrence Hospital Center (LHC) is dedicated to caring for the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

Palliative Care is interdisciplinary care that aims to relieve suffering and improve the quality of life while simultaneously administering other appropriate treatments for patients with advanced, chronic, or life threatening illness.

Five years ago, the Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care Fund Board provided the seed money to start the Palliative Care Program at Lawrence Hospital, and continues to work very closely with the Palliative Care specialists.

The staff of the Palliative Medicine Program at LHC includes Angel Rodriguez, MD, and Susan McHugh-Salera, Nurse Practitioner.

For information about this program, please contact Susan McHugh-Salera at (914) 787-4190, or via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
